I have 2 Audio Technica's... the AT-PL120 is a rip off of a Technics 1200, it's been fine. There is a $100 AT joint you can get at Circuit City, Amazon, etc for $100 that I have in my living room which has been fine as well...
Thanks all. That Pro-Ject stuff is sexy. Still shopping for a house here in Minneapolis. I'm going to get a turntable and a sub-woofer to celebrate when we finally find one.
It's fun living someplace where there's boatloads of live music every night.

A lot of people I know rave about the Pro-Ject Debut III.
I bought one a while ago and had major issues with motor noise but everyone tells me it's a fluke and they're all super satisfied with theirs.
