custom ringtones

Thought some of you tech-minded folks who use an iphone might be able to help me out on this one. A friend got me hip to this site where you can upload an Mp3 and then cut whatever part of it you want for a ringtone. Really easy to use and I was stoked to set up songs for all my peoples (was going back and forth on DC with Ryan Adams versus Pheonix, tough one...) but my iphone only let's me put one custom ringtone on there. I've asked a couple other people of they have issues with it and it seems like they do. Any help would be appreciated. Here's the site:

hahahaha, what are you, a 12 year old girl?

Nah, but I'd rather have a song I like come on than just some regular ring. Why not?

i have no experience with custom ring tones, but i can check it out later tonight (i'm 6 or 7 hours ahead of most of you) or tomorrow a.m. if no one has helped you by then.

That is s site where you can do it, too... i think it is still around, i used that to make ringtones of The 2uo jams like 3 cell phones ago.

Speaking of cell phones, i'm getting new iPhone in a minute, dogggggggggg

Cool, will check it out, but it wasn't a question of having a hard time with the site, it was that my iphone will not recognize more than one custom ringtone. I'm looking to see if anyone has the same issue.

dear mr. rootless,
yeah, i have an iphone 3g. i just made two ring tones, and i synced them both up to the phone through iphone with no problems. is your software up to date? how did you make your ring tones? are they aac encoded, and are you using the proper .m4r file extension (instead of .m4a). i made a few loops in an audio editor, converted the loops to aac, manually changed the file extension from m4a to m4r, and then dragged them into the ringtones folder on my iphone while it was connected to itunes. i DID NOT attempt to sync through the itunes/iphone sync thing. i tend to manage my sounds manually. tell me what you're doing, and i can try to duplicate your problems on my end.
i'm using an iphone 3g with the newest software on an intel mac pro and itunes 8.2. you?

if you are a PC person, i have access to a PC as well so give me as much info as you can. that said, the platform should not matter.
have you done any googling about this problem?

Thanks Mr. Turbert, will try those out and see if works, I'm fully on a Mac, only done a bit of googling, ringtone problems, etc, but not much luck.
