You know... there was something cool about bands like the Gun Club that I don't feel anymore. I'm guessing this is more about me than about bands these days. I was always feeling: "what the hell are these dude's story?" I don't get that feeling as much anymore. Also, Bill, AMC? I wouldn't have guessed you for being a fan there. Finally, my Dream Syndicate story: saw them open for U2 on the War tour. They were awesome, but still got kind of booed... fucking fans.
Yeah, Clark, AMC is not my usual cup of tea, but *Everclear* absolutely floors me. It's the only AMC I listen to. Personally, I blame Gabe, though I think he was already out of Bloomington when this one came out. Kurt Vile is another one that is unlike what I listen to, but I can't get enough. And I know what you mean about the Gun Club, though I still love those guys (and listen to them relatively often) . . . it's like, "what the hell is Jeffrey Lee Pierce thinking, anyway?"

This mix is really hitting the spot for me. Thanks
second that! sweet mix, and nice to see some Saccharine Trust on there.... rockin' it on a rainy morning here in LA
Thanks, gentlemen. I plan to do an occasional series of "25 Songs" playlists and throw them up here.
