insane? really? the costumes and all that are wacky, sure, but did you listen to the guy? he's so on point. check out any Sun Ra recording or video, and he consistently drops nuggets of spacewisdom all over. I've never seen the Arkestra live, but every person I've heard talk about it says seeing them is nothing less than a live-changing experience.
