Another rainy day in NYC...
Any votes for best rainy day album? Shadow Endtroducing, Kind of Blue, and Electric Ladyland get a lot of play in my house on days like this.
Lastly, someone post something new so i don't have to look at Lou Reed anymore. I don't want the lack of posts to make the new guy feel self-conscious.

Well, to augment the full effect of the rain, I really like dark moody shit like Radiohead or Godspeed You! Black Emperor. In A Silent Way, too. But if I want to counteract all the yin with some yang (feel me DC??) then it's hard to beat reggae, Brazilian, or African stuff...any music from a hot, dry, sunny climate.
Electric Ladyland was the first thought that came to mind.... never gets old.... thats been a rainy day favorite for me since I was a young teen equipped only with a 2 pound Sony walkman and those big old foam headphones
I would agree with Kind of Blue and Electric Ladyland, also on the jazz tip Chet Baker works good on rainy days. I go for classical sometimes on rainy days, like Chopin's Noctures, that's a good one.
